"A friend of mine had spoken with Pete during a recent hunting conference, and suggested I give him a call to discuss a cow hunt that he believed to have good odds. I booked the hunt. After a cordial welcome, and verification of a valid hunting license, we were off. We were on elk the first day, but as elk hunting goes, we just couldn't connect all the dots. On the second morning we were able to successfully harvest a huge cow at 60 yards! Pete was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, and even helped us get the hide to a reputable taxidermist. If you're looking for a cow elk hunt that's fair in price, with a guide that knows what he's doing, North Country Outfitter is the right choice."

"We went out on a Spring bear hunt in May of 2024. Pete, our guide will put you on animals. Ended up killing my 1st bear. We saw seven bears that day. Also, an added bonus, ended up killing a beautiful Merriams spring turkey, and got to shoot a bunch of prairie dogs.

"Archery hunted with North Country outfitters 2 nd week of October 2024. This was the first time I ever hunted with a guide. Had a great time, Killed a beautiful 6x6 bull that he called in across a large meadow. Camp was comfortable and the food was good. I am definitely going back. Friendly atmosphere. Guides were great and knowledgeable. Saw plenty of elk, some in the 350+ range. Definitely has great property."

"This was my first elk hunt and didn’t know what to expect, but wanted to get a lay of land, so I picked up a OTC cow tag. I hunted with Pete the third week of November and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Pete was able to put me on a herd of cows the very first day, and while I wasn’t able to get a clean shot that day, however,  I was able to down a cow on 3rd day of the hunt.  Pete was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot from Pete. The hunt was a great experience and saw a lot of elk and deer. I will going back the first chance I get."
